Beauty is all around us
There is an old saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What we look at and what we see are two entirely different things. What we look at are things just as they are. What we see is our own internal world mapped onto our immediate surroundings. People see what they look for.
If you think the world is beautiful, you will see beauty everywhere you look. The same is true of ugliness. Life can often be difficult and seem ugly, but that is because we are looking at it through the lens of our own despair. Our eyes can be a mirror which reflects back our own fears and angers. Or they can be a window to something outside ourselves.
